7 Come 11: Bio

7 Come 11

7 Come 11 is a Hammond organ trio from Santa Cruz, CA that brings an eclectic array of styles and sounds to the stage. Laying down super-funky grooves reminiscent of MMW and Soulive while delving into inspired jams and throwing out the occasional Black Sabbath or Led Zeppelin homage, this group brings some serious energy to the stage and leaves audiences wondering how so much sound can be coming from just three musicians.

Kris Di Noto - Drum Set

Born in San Diego, CA, Kris received a B.A. in music from Humboldt State University, where he spent six years studying orchestral percussion and steelpan with Dr. Eugene Novotney. After another four years of organic farming and generally being lost in the humboldt universe, he relocated to Santa Cruz where he currently resides, playing music with 7 Come 11, Universal Language, the Goodlife R&B Revue, and of course Leroy Buckenworth, he has had the privilege of sharing the stage with Ray White, Bobby Vega, Robert Walter, and master trinidadian pan players Liam Teauge and Ray Holman. While not making music Kris spends his time working on his aspiring circus carreer as a knife thrower and acrobat, but may suddenly vanish at any time to pursue a monastic life with his animal friends...........

He has shared the bill with the likes of Medeski, Martin and Wood, John Scofield Band, Ozomatli, Robert Walter's 20th Congress, and Karl Densin's Tiny Universe. As a recording artist he has appeared as a guest on a wide selection of albums; from Bolga Zohdoomah's highlife/afro-pop beat to Epicure's hard-edged punk/reggae, and who can forget the smooth latin sounds of Universal Language? Songs from these CD's have been used for Rob Machados (MTV) surf videos and frequently featured on local TV and radio (Blue Torch, KUSI, KSDS in San Diego; KAZU, KPFA and KPIG in Santa Cruz). He also played live on Euro MTV once... look out...
